Job summary

Northern Star Resources is seeking a Senior Mining Engineer to lead an underground team at Mt Charlotte, Kalgoorlie, with FIFO or residential options. The role oversees scheduling, drill & blast, and graduate engineers to drive safe production and plan execution.

Experience with Sub Level Stoping, Avoca methods, and Power BI is preferred, along with a First Class Mine Managers Certificate and WA driver’s licence. Strong leadership and safety focus are essential.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in Mining Engineering.
• Current WA C Class Drivers Licence.
• Completion of underground time to obtain First Class Mine Managers Certificate.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate drill & blast and ancillary designs with the mining engineers.
• Provide guidance and coaching to Scheduling Engineers.
• Be the main point of contact to Underground Mine Foreman for planning and weekly plan execution.
• Manage stope reconciliation, highlight risks and opportunities.
• Ensure blast vibration monitoring and reporting comply with site rules.
• Support DEMIRS visits, inspections and investigations.
• Cover Alternate Underground Manager functions when required.
