Job summary

Aurelia Metals is seeking an Underground Miner L2 – Service Crew Leading Hand at Peak Mine, Cobar NSW. You will lead the Service Crew, supervise underground maintenance, and uphold safety standards to keep production moving efficiently.

This hands-on leadership role requires mentoring, strong communication, and a commitment to continuous improvement in a demanding underground environment.

Qualifications

• Experience supervising Service Crew in underground hard rock mining.
• Experience mentoring underground crews is highly regarded.
• Knowledge of ventilation, pumping, and ground support.
• Licences and tickets: Working at Heights, Confined Space, First Aid; EWP are advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support the Service Crew to maintain underground infrastructure safely.
• Coordinate service crew activities including ventilation, dewatering, and installations.
• Mentor team members and promote safety-first culture.
• Conduct pre-start meetings and allocate daily tasks.
• Inspect work areas and ensure compliance with site procedures.
• Communicate shift updates with Supervisors and Operations to drive improvements.
