Job summary

Glencore Australia is seeking a Technical Services Superintendent to lead the Technical Services Team in planning, civil design and project delivery for mine rehabilitation and closure initiatives. Qualifications

• Tertiary qualifications in Mining Engineering, Civil Engineering, Project Management or equivalent or demonstrated industry experience.
• Demonstrated leadership experience to mentor and coordinate technical professionals and influence multidisciplinary teams.
• Experience in mining, civil earthworks, rehabilitation, infrastructure or major project environments.
• Strong understanding of civil construction design principles, earthworks and construction methodologies.
• Experience with construction QA/QC, including design conformance, inspection, verification, survey reconciliation and quality documentation.
• Project management capability: planning, scheduling, scope management, contractor management, risk and cost control.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership across technical planning, civil design, project delivery and QA/QC activities.
• Lead development and delivery of the Mid-Term Schedule with Budget and Life of Mine/ Life of Project horizons.
• Coordinate technical planning to ensure rehabilitation and closure works are scoped, resourced and integrated with operations.
• Oversee civil and rehabilitation design for practicality, constructability and cost-effectiveness.
• Establish QA/QC processes for civil works, design reviews and handover documentation.
• Manage projects from planning through execution, tracking scope, schedule, cost, risk, quality and progress.
• Collaborate with operations, contractors and stakeholders to resolve technical and construction issues.
• Coordinate external consultants and service providers to meet standards, timelines and commercial expectations.
• Understand technical data systems, reconciliations, progress measurement and end-of-month reporting.
