Motion Group is seeking an experienced Structural Steel Installation Supervisor to lead on-site erection and installation projects across Hunter, Central Coast and Greater Sydney regions. You will supervise crews, coordinate cranes, lifts and deliveries, and ensure work conforms to drawings, specs, and safety standards.

You will travel between project sites, manage labour and subcontractors, and drive timely, quality project delivery while maintaining a strong safety culture and professional

Qualifications

• Proven experience supervising structural steel erection or installation projects.
• Extensive hands-on experience in structural steel assembly, rigging, lifting, erection, alignment, bolting, and installation.
• Leadership of employees, subcontractors, crane crews and site personnel.
• Strong knowledge of erection methods, temporary stability, and safety requirements.

Responsabilités

• Lead day-to-day structural steel erection and installation activities on site.
• Provide hands-on support to installation crews while maintaining site control.
• Plan and coordinate labour, subcontractors, cranes, plant, equipment, and deliveries.
• Review drawings, specifications, and lift plans before starting work.
• Ensure work complies with drawings, tolerances, quality standards, and safety requirements.
• Coordinate rigging, crane operations, access, exclusion zones and erection sequencing.
• Maintain ITPs, safety inspections, and toolbox talks; ensure compliance with SWMS and permits.
• Monitor productivity and progress against the installation program and milestones.
• Liaise with clients, engineers, contractors, and project partners.
