Job summary

Alder Group is seeking an experienced Site Foreman to join our Ballina team, with initial assignment in Casino and opportunities to work across Lismore, Ballina, Grafton & Casino. You will lead our commercial construction projects, ensuring safety, quality and timely delivery.

The successful candidate will bring 3+ years in similar supervisory roles, a trade qualification and a proactive, collaborative approach to team leadership, coordination of trades and adherence to budgets.

Qualifications

• 3+ years' experience in a Site Foreman or similar supervisory role delivering commercial construction projects (Class 2-9 buildings).
• Relevant trade qualification (Carpentry, Building) desirable
• Excellent communication skills - both oral and written
• Willingness to lead and motivate team members
• A person who is enthusiastic, self-motivated and quality driven
• Be able to work collaboratively in a team environment
• Commitment and understanding of the importance of time and financial goals
• Good computer/ mobile device skills for daily use of Programs & Apps (e.g. Procore)

Responsibilities

• Conducting site inspections to ensure quality and safety outcomes
• Be responsible for co-ordinating trades onsite Work with a site manager to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget and to our high standards.
• Co-ordinate the relationships between various trades and ensure that sub-contractors carry work out safely and efficiently.
• Maintain Alder's strong reputation at all times.
• Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget and to our high standards
• Participate in regular WHS inspections and injury/incident investigations and maintain a healthy and safe work environment.
• Ensure environmental controls are suitable and implemented, monitored and reviewed.
• Review, understand and have input to all subcontractor and supplier scope of works.
• Organise completion of defect works in a timely manner.
• Participate in lesson learnt sessions to continuously improve the performance of the overall company team.
