Job summary

Evoenergy ACT seeks a Principal Protection Engineer to lead the Protection engineering team, advancing protection standards for embedded generation and storage while ensuring safety and reliability of the network.

The role requires strong leadership, protection system knowledge, and collaboration across departments. Attractive relocation support and a starting salary with 16% superannuation are offered.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in Systems Engineering or Electrical Engineering.
• Membership of the Institution of Engineers or relevant industry body.
• Experience with electrical protection systems and network assessments.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the Protection engineering team.
• Manage protection assets and zone metering systems.
• Develop maintenance strategies using RCM methodology.
• Define annual protection programs and oversee delivery.
• Review protection studies to meet safety and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate across departments on protection system design and testing.
