Job summary

Evoenergy is seeking a Senior Electrical Design Officer to join the Secondary Systems and Network Design team in Canberra. You will design installation and replacement of Evoenergy assets with lifecycle cost in mind, affecting construction, maintenance and end-of-life disposal.

You will provide technical data to stakeholders, perform engineering analyses for PoW design solutions, and engage with customers, developers and government agencies to deliver projects safely and on schedule.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualifications in Electrical Engineering.
• Demonstrated experience with design of complex electricity distribution projects.

Responsibilities

• Analysing asset management and operational needs to determine project scope.
• Site visits, prepare project cost estimates and scope of works.
• Lead in Safety in Design principles and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Order materials for electrical design per standards.
• Design complex distribution projects (substations, switchyards, networks).
• Perform calculations (network analysis, earthing, cabling).
• Liaise with stakeholders to ensure project outcomes and customer satisfaction.
