Job summary

DFP Recruitment, partnering with a government client, seeks an experienced Project Manager (AO6) based in Rockhampton to lead end-to-end building projects and drive delivery across design, construction, and contract administration.

You will coordinate project teams and stakeholders, manage scope, time, cost and quality, oversee contract administration, and ensure value-for-money outcomes while maintaining governance and client engagement.

Qualifications

• Experience managing building/construction projects end-to-end.
• Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver outcomes in a deadline-driven environment.
• High-level communication and negotiation skills.
• Strong commercial acumen and attention to quality.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end building projects, including pre-design, design, documentation, contract administration, and post-construction.
• Coordinate project teams, consultants, contractors, and stakeholders to achieve project objectives.
• Deliver projects in line with scope, time, cost, quality, and cash-flow requirements.
• Oversee contract administration across traditional and non-traditional contract systems.
• Engage with clients daily to ensure expectations are met and outcomes achieved.
• Lead negotiations with stakeholders, consultants, and contractors to deliver value-for-money solutions.
• Monitor and control project performance, including reporting on time and cost variances.
• Conduct project audits and ensure quality assurance standards are maintained.
• Support fee determination, client billing processes, and financial performance targets.
