Job summary

Honeywell Technologies in Brisbane is seeking an Advanced Project Engineer for a 2-year fixed-term contract. You will lead the engineering delivery of projects, coordinating input from internal and external stakeholders and delivering engineering outputs with your project engineering team.

You will also aid in sourcing and managing subcontractors for specialist consultancy beyond Building Automation, while applying Australian and international standards and maintaining health and safety

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering or mechatronics.
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in electronic security.
• Expertise in electronic security systems engineering (hardware and software).
• Solid understanding of high-end security applications (CCTV, Access Control, Intruder Detection, Intercom, etc.).
• Registered or pursuing Professional Engineer in QLD (ideal).
• Ability to work independently to drive project execution and as local contact.

Responsibilities

• Operate as lead engineer for one or more projects.
• Engineer, implement, integrate, and document electronic security systems.
• Deliver project engineering requirements within budget, scope, and schedule.
• Provide technical direction and support to project team, including planning and QA.
• Ensure designs meet requirement metrics and standards (Australia and international).
• Maintain health and safety compliance within the team.
