Job summary

Council Jobs is seeking a skilled plumber to support water and sewer infrastructure across Queensland. The role involves operating and maintaining reticulation schemes, assisting with project planning, and supervising teams on site.

You will ensure assets meet standards and contribute to asset records and reporting. The ideal candidate holds a current plumber’s licence, a valid C-class licence, White Card, and relevant plant tickets.

Qualifications

• Construction and maintenance experience in water and/or wastewater.
• Ability to coordinate specific projects.
• Teamwork and communication skills.
• Numeracy and basic computer skills.
• Commitment to EEO and WHS principles.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain water supply and sewerage reticulation schemes.
• Assist with project plants and resource allocation.
• Construct and install water and sewer assets to standards.
• Oversee activities of labourers, operators and contractors.
• Supervise and mentor apprentices.
• Maintain asset records and prepare monthly reports.
• Respond to enquiries from customers promptly.
• Participate in disaster management and response training.
