Job summary

Whitsunday Regional Council is seeking a skilled Water and Wastewater Network Operations Worker (Licensed Plumber) to join our Network Operations team in Bowen. This role contributes to delivering and maintaining essential water and sewerage infrastructure for the region.

Essential qualifications include a Class C Manual Driver’s licence and Licensed Plumber and Drainer. Desirable certifications include Confined Space, Working at Heights, Trenching and Shoring, and Poly Welding.

Qualifications

• Licensed Plumber & Drainer with Class C Manual licence.
• Experience in water and sewerage infrastructure maintenance is desirable.
• Ability to operate safely and respond to emergencies.

Responsibilities

• Assist with construction, maintenance and repair of water and sewerage infrastructure.
• Inspect mains and service connections to ensure safe delivery of services.
• Respond to emergency callouts and participate in on-call roster.
• Deliver high-quality customer service to stakeholders.
