Job summary

ING Australia is seeking a Lead DevOps Engineer to drive platform operations within Platform Engineering, focusing on reliability, scalability, security, and performance of core platforms. You will lead automation initiatives and collaborate with Infrastructure, Architecture, Security, and Software Engineering to advance cloud-native platforms and CD capabilities.

Qualifications

• Experience in software development, infrastructure engineering, or DevOps environments.
• Strong hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines and Azure DevOps.
• Knowledge of container technologies, particularly Kubernetes.
• Scripting and automation using PowerShell, Bash, Python, or Ansible.
• Experience with relational and non-relational databases such as Oracle, PostgreSQL, SQL Server, and MongoDB.
• Expertise in Azure Cloud, AKS (Azure Kubernetes Service), Microservices, Kafka, and Terraform.
• Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on automation and operational excellence.
• A continuous learning mindset and willingness to embrace AI‑driven technologies and innovations.

Responsibilities

• Provide operational and infrastructure support to software delivery and engineering teams.
• Build and maintain tools that improve application monitoring, integration, and deployment processes.
• Manage and maintain application configuration and code repositories.
• Contribute to Platform Engineering initiatives with a focus on Continuous Delivery (CD) capabilities.
• Automate manual processes and develop solutions that improve operational efficiency and reliability.
