Job summary

Leidos Australia seeks a Platform Engineer to design and evolve cloud and hybrid platforms that support mission-critical applications. You will drive automation through IaC, CI/CD tooling and scripting, enabling secure, scalable and reliable solutions across the technology stack.

You will partner with developers, architects and security teams to improve platform capabilities, ensure compliance and deliver continuous improvements in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in platform engineering, DevOps, cloud engineering, infrastructure engineering, or a related discipline.
• Hands-on experience with public cloud and hybrid environments (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code, automation frameworks, CI/CD pipelines, and modern DevOps practices.
• Scripting/automation using Python, PowerShell, Bash or similar languages.
• Knowledge of networking, APIs, databases, storage, DNS and enterprise infrastructure environments.
• Experience with containerisation and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Knowledge of monitoring, logging, observability, Git and version control practices.
• Understanding of security principles, IAM, secrets management, compliance requirements and platform security controls.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement and support cloud and hybrid platforms to secure and reliably run business-critical apps and services.
• Drive automation across infrastructure and application delivery via IaC, CI/CD pipelines and deployment tooling.
• Enhance platform reliability by implementing monitoring, observability, vulnerability remediation and lifecycle management.
• Collaborate with developers, architects, cybersecurity, infrastructure teams and stakeholders to improve platform capabilities and deployment processes.
