Cognizant in Sydney, Australia, is seeking a Lead Platform Operations Engineer to own reliability, health and automation of testing tools and AI services. You will collaborate across engineering, cloud, security and architecture teams to ensure secure, compliant, high-availability platforms.

You will drive modernization, review CI/CD pipelines and lead infrastructure automation using tools like Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, Bamboo, Chef, Ansible and Terraform.

Qualificações

• Strong knowledge of CI/CD practices and DevOps operating models.
• Hands-on experience with Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps or Bamboo.
• Desirable experience with Chef, Ansible or Terraform.
• Scripting and automation capability (Python, Shell, or Java).
• Knowledge of OpenShift/Kubernetes, containers and microservices.
• Experience in incident, problem, change and release management.
• Familiarity with Jira, ServiceNow and Confluence.

Responsabilidades

• Own platform availability, reliability, performance and health against SLAs.
• Lead incidents, root cause analysis and permanent fixes.
• Manage backlogs, Jira boards, ServiceNow queues and priorities.
• Drive modernization, automation and CI/CD optimization.
• Develop automation scripts and tooling (Python/Shell/PowerShell).
• Oversee upgrades, patching and environment lifecycle with compliance.
• Monitor health with observability dashboards and alerts.
• Provide executive-ready reporting on availability, incidents and risks.
• Coach Run Engineers and support cloud transformation initiatives.
