Job summary

The Department of Justice and Community Safety in Victoria seeks an Offender Management Supervisor to lead offender management across Tarrengower Prison. You will mentor custodial staff, strengthen case planning and drive continuous improvement aligned with the Correctional Practice Framework.

You will work with operational staff, case workers and stakeholders to ensure trauma-informed practice, evidence-based decisions, and positive cultural change, delivering results through coaching, training

Qualifications

• Knowledge of offender management and rehabilitation practices within a correctional setting.
• Ability to provide leadership, coaching and mentoring to staff and ensure consistent offender management processes.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills across prison operations and external partners.

Responsibilities

• Providing leadership, coaching and mentoring to custodial staff to strengthen offender management and case planning practices.
• Driving quality assurance, continuous improvement and cultural change initiatives aligned with the Correctional Practice Framework.
• Supporting staff capability through training, professional development and knowledge sharing.
• Building effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders to promote consistent and integrated offender management approaches.
• Monitoring, evaluating and reporting on offender management processes to support evidence-based decision-making and service improvements.
