Job summary

The Department of Justice and Community Safety is seeking an Offender Management Supervisor to lead and coach custodial staff at Tarrengower Prison. The role focuses on strengthening offender management practices, guiding case planning and promoting evidence-based, trauma-informed strategies to support rehabilitation and reintegration.

You will work with Corrections Victoria and other partners to implement the Correctional Practice Framework and drive continuous improvement across the unit,

Qualifications

• Leadership and coaching experience in offender management settings.
• Knowledge of offender management principles and rehabilitation practices.
• Ability to mentor custodial staff and strengthen case planning.
• Understanding trauma-informed approaches within corrections.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership, coaching and mentoring to custodial staff to strengthen offender management and case planning practices.
• Drive quality assurance, continuous improvement and cultural change initiatives aligned with the Correctional Practice Framework.
• Support staff capability through training, professional development and knowledge sharing.
• Build effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders to promote consistent offender management approaches.
• Monitor, evaluate and report on offender management processes to support evidence-based decisions.
