Job summary

Newmont Tanami is seeking a Team Lead Networks Digital to oversee deployment, maintenance and optimisation of critical network and communications infrastructure at the Tanami underground gold mine in the Northern Territory. This FIFO role involves coordinating with site, regional and corporate stakeholders to ensure high-performing, secure networks that support safe mining operations.

• Bachelor's degree in IT or Computer Science or related field.
• Significant experience in IT infrastructure, network operations and communications systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead the deployment, maintenance and optimisation of site network infrastructure (LAN/WAN, microwave, wireless).
• Develop preventative maintenance programs to maximise network reliability and minimise downtime.
• Monitor network performance and deliver upgrades and expansions.
• Manage vendor and contractor relationships to ensure service levels and project outcomes.
• Lead, mentor and develop team members while ensuring cybersecurity compliance.
