Job summary

Hunter New England Local Health District invites applications for a brand new Midwifery Unit Manager role at Maitland Maternity. You will shape the MAPS model of care and lead obstetric and gynaecology clinics, ensuring staff welfare and efficient rosters while mentoring junior staff and supporting complex cases.

You will be part of a multidisciplinary team and work in a state-of-the-art Maitland Hospital, contributing to a high standard of patient-centred care for the local community.

Qualifications

• Registered Midwife with AHPRA required
• Experience in management or leadership of maternity services preferred
• Ability to mentor junior staff and manage rosters and referrals

Responsibilities

• Lead MAPS, Gynaecology and EPAS clinics and obstetric services
• Oversee rosters, staff welfare and rostering efficiency
• Mentor junior staff and support complex patient cases
