Transport for NSW is seeking a qualified mechanical tradesperson ready to step into a team-leader role at Narrandera. You will supervise a small crew, oversee maintenance and repairs on heavy vehicle plant, and drive safety and quality across the workshop.

You will also contribute to planning, process improvement and paperwork for the workshop management system. You should bring extensive heavy-vehicle experience, a Certificate III in Heavy Commercial Vehicle Mechanical Technology, and current

Qualifications

• Qualified mechanical tradesperson with leadership potential and safety focus.
• Certificate III in Heavy Commercial Vehicle Mechanical Technology or equivalent is required.
• Current NSW MV repair licence and White Card are essential.
• MR or HR licence is highly desirable; AIS/HVIS examiner ticket adds value.

Responsabilités

• Supervise a team of tradespersons to maintain heavy vehicle plant and equipment safely.
• Lead maintenance and repairs on plant items, vehicles and mechanical equipment.
• Ensure WHS standards and quality objectives are achieved.
• Plan short-term tasks and coordinate with workshop supervisor.
• Assist with administration of workshop management system and stock records.
• Support conflict resolution and team development; promote equity.
• Attend after-hours callouts and travel as required; travel statewide.
