Job summary

St Ives Gold Mine, a Gold Fields operation in Western Australia, seeks a proactive Coordinator: Mechanical to lead fixed-plant maintenance across the processing plant. You will coordinate planned, corrective and shutdown work to maintain reliability and asset integrity, while working with Operations, Planning and project teams to optimise safety and performance.

In this frontline leadership role you will drive maintenance discipline, coach teams, and ensure compliance with statutory requirements

Qualifications

Recognised mechanical trade qualification with 5+ years in a leadership or supervisory role within mining or mineral processing.
Significant fixed-plant maintenance experience in mineral processing operations.
Experience coordinating planned, corrective and shutdown maintenance and high-risk mechanical work.
WHS Statutory Supervisors certificate (S26) is required.
Strong understanding of maintenance planning, work management and asset fundamentals.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Ability to lead within a team and foster a proactive maintenance culture.
Experience with SAP, AMT, INX and Excel; RCA/ICAM exposure is a plus.
Holding a valid manual driver’s licence.
Experience in proactive planned-maintenance with focus on reliability.

Responsibilities

Lead, coach and motivate maintenance personnel and contractors across daily, short-term and forward-looking activities.
Drive disciplined work management and monitor plant reliability, availability and cost.
Align maintenance priorities with operations, risk and the plan.
Oversee parts, materials requisitioning and work completion quality.
Identify defects and risks, prioritise corrective actions and minimise disruptions.
Monitor performance, review equipment history and identify improvements.
Lead root cause analyses and safety investigations.
Develop and implement maintenance procedures and processes.
Conduct regular field inspections to verify safety and production standards.
Provide leadership and performance development for direct reports.
Coordinate with Operations, Planning, Reliability, Supply, contractors and site stakeholders.
