Job summary

Blacktown City Council is seeking a Mechanical Apprentice Master and Quality Officer to lead a team in the City Fleet workshop, maintaining trucks, plant and specialised equipment. You will diagnose faults, service and repair vehicles, carry out quality inspections and ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards.

You will also coach and develop apprentices, organise hands-on training, and maintain training records to build a skilled workforce for the growing community.

Qualifications

• Experience mentoring or training apprentices.
• Experience with quality inspections and safety compliance.
• Skilled in maintaining heavy vehicles and plant equipment.

Responsibilities

• Coach and mentor apprentices through hands-on workshop tasks.
• Assess apprentice skills and provide constructive feedback.
