Job summary

Join City of Moreton Bay as a Lead Infrastructure Planner – Infrastructure Standards, and help shape and enhance our communities for today and tomorrow.

As the Lead Infrastructure Planner– Infrastructure Standard, you'll shape the standards and frameworks that guide how Council's infrastructure is designed, delivered and managed, ensuring sustainable, high-performing asset outcomes.

In this role you will have the opportunity to lead the development and review of infrastructure design standards, specifications and technical requirements as well as provide expert advice on infrastructure performance, risk, maintainability and emerging industry practices.

You'll collaborate with specialists across engineering, planning, asset management, operations and finance to achieve consistent and practical solutions. Through technical leadership and policy development, you'll influence strategic decision-making, drive continuous improvement and ensure Council's infrastructure standards remain fit for the future.

About you

We are seeking an experienced infrastructure professional with a strong background in infrastructure design standards, engineering specifications, asset management or technical governance. You will bring a strategic mindset and a proven ability to navigate complex technical issues while delivering practical, outcome-focused solutions.

A confident and influential communicator, you can translate technical concepts into clear advice and build strong relationships across a diverse range of stakeholders. You will have experience leading multidisciplinary projects and providing technical leadership in complex environments, supported by a sound understanding of infrastructure design, construction practices and whole-of-life asset management principles.

You will have aTertiary qualifications in Engineering, Planning, Asset Management or a related discipline (or equivalent experience) and acurrent C Class Driver's Licence.
