Job summary

City of Moreton Bay is seeking a Coordinator – Infrastructure Planning & Strategy to lead a specialist team and deliver long-term infrastructure planning and policy outcomes. You will coordinate priorities, drive quality within legislation and ensure major projects are delivered efficiently and effectively.

You will shape future infrastructure networks, guide growth initiatives and provide strategic advice across stakeholders while managing compliance and risk in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Experience leading and developing infrastructure network planning, strategy or policy within a complex organisation.
• Ability to develop strategic plans, assess investment priorities and provide informed advice on infrastructure decisions.
• Tertiary qualification in urban planning, civil engineering or related discipline and a current C class driver's licence.

As the Coordinator – Infrastructure Planning and Strategy, you will lead a specialist team delivering infrastructure network planning programs and policy outcomes that support sustainable growth across the City of Moreton Bay. You will coordinate priorities, drive high-quality outcomes within legislative requirements, and ensure critical projects are delivered efficiently and effectively.

You will play a leading role in shaping the infrastructure that will support one of Australia's fastest-growing cities for generations to come. You'll drive long-term infrastructure planning and investment decisions that influence how communities live, connect and thrive. Supporting statutory and precinct planning programs and major growth initiatives, you'll help create a lasting legacy for the future of Moreton Bay.

Working closely with a range of internal and external stakeholders, you will provide strategic advice, manage compliance and risk, and contribute to long-term initiatives that shape future infrastructure investment and land development outcomes.

You will have the opportunity to lead the development of future-focused infrastructure network strategies, policies and investment frameworks that guide the city's long-term growth and sustainability.

Key deliverables will include city-wide, long-term infrastructure network planning and infrastructure policy development for all local government networks.

About you

We are seeking a strategic thinker with strong leadership capability and coordination skills, capable of managing complex priorities while delivering high-quality long-term infrastructure planning and policy outcomes.

You will bring;

• experience in leading and developing infrastructure network planning, strategy or policy within a complex organisation, with the ability to develop strategic plans, assess investment priorities and provide informed advice on key infrastructure decisions.
• strong understanding of levels-of-service frameworks, investment principles, asset strategies and capital portfolio delivery.
• excellent organisational skills, you can manage competing priorities and deliver outcomes in a fast-paced environment.
• ability to successfully manage competing priorities, complex projects and statutory deadlines while maintaining a focus on quality and continuous improvement.

Having experience in statutory infrastructure planning, precinct planning or local government infrastructure planning frameworks will be highly regarded.

You will have a Tertiary qualification in urban planning, civil engineering or a related discipline (or equivalent demonstrated experience) and hold a current C class driver's licence.
