Job summary

The Aged Care Quality and Safety Commission in Sydney is seeking an EL1 Assistant Director, Information Governance to lead the team responsible for how information is created, managed, protected and disposed. Responsibilities

• Lead information governance: develop and improve governance frameworks, policies, standards and procedures.
• Deliver recordkeeping and information management outcomes in line with legal guidance and regulatory requirements.
• Strengthen information stewardship: classification, metadata, access, and lifecycle controls.
• Manage information risk and assurance: identify, assess, and report governance risks and remediation.
• Align with cyber security, privacy and ISMS to embed governance into secure-by-design services.
• Support responsible technology use: governance for AI, automation, analytics and other tech.
• Build capability and culture: education, communications and stakeholder engagement.
• Provide strategic advice: to executives on governance, risk and lifecycle management.
• Lead the team and deliver results: set priorities, manage performance and change.
• Drive continuous improvement: use evidence and lessons learned to improve services.
