Geelong Automotive is seeking a Workshop Controller to lead the service department technicians and ensure workflow efficiency on each shift. You will mentor Technicians, oversee daily/weekly productivity, and maintain strong relationships across staff and external departments.

Key duties include KPI management, resource planning, and timely quotes, with regular toolbox meetings and development plans to address competency gaps. Heavy vehicle background is preferred and adaptability is essential.

Qualifications

• Heavy Truck Licence (Desirable)
• Excellent communication skills at all levels, both written and verbal
• Ability to lead a team to success
• Demonstrated reliability and enthusiasm toward assigned tasks
• Flexible and adaptable to change

Responsabilités

• Provide focused management to the service department technicians to ensure Genuine Dealership Service process steps are followed
• Carry out regular process reviews with the Service Manager and ensure follow-up actions
• Manage the performance of the service workshop to achieve KPI targets
• Plan workshop resources to fulfill Geelong Automotive process requirements per shift
• Support the Service team to ensure job specification, codification and quote preparation is completed on time
• Hold weekly toolbox meetings to discuss workshop/technician concerns
• Monitor staff performance versus standard role requirements and personal objectives
• Perform periodic competence assessments and address competence gaps with development plans
• Provide timely training and support to bridge competency gaps
• Suggest training and tooling needs to the Service Manager
