Job summary

Scotford Fennessy Recruitment seeks a Senior Exploration Geologist to lead an exploration team and drive target generation across a large, Tier 1 gold belt in Western Australia. You will oversee drilling programs, integrate diverse datasets, and guide technical interpretation to support a major discovery.

The role requires 5+ years in WA gold mining, 3+ years in a senior geologist position, and strong knowledge of WA regulations and JORC guidelines. Proficiency in mapping tools is essential.

Qualifications

• Strong experience in target generation.
• 5+ years of experience in WA gold mining.
• At least 3 years experience as a Senior Geologist in WA gold mining.
• Proficiency in QGIS/MapInfo and Leapfrog/Micromine.
• Solid knowledge of WA regulations and JORC guidelines.
• Geology degree.
• Schedule 26 certification.

Responsibilities

• Generate and mature drill-ready targets from regional to prospect scale.
• Integrate multi-disciplinary datasets to define, rank, and refine targets for decision-making.
• Plan, oversee, and deliver drilling programs and field operations with safe execution.
• Maintain QA/QC, data integrity, and compliance with WHS and regulatory requirements.
• Lead geological interpretation, modelling, reporting, team development, and contractor management.
