AndersElite Professional Recruitment Pty Ltd client seeks a Project Exploration Geologist with 8+ years’ exploration experience to lead target generation, drilling programs and field mapping on a highly prospective Pilbara project.

This campaign-based role involves regular field trips, responsibility for QA/QC, geological interpretation and reporting to management and ASX announcements; candidates must be based in Perth and hold an Australian visa.

Qualifications

• Degree in Geology, preferably honours or postgraduate.
• 8+ years of mineral exploration experience.
• Strong understanding of Archean gold systems.
• Experience supervising AC, RC and diamond drilling.
• Competent in geological mapping and structural interpretation.
• Proficient with GIS software and 3D modelling tools.
• Strong technical writing and reporting abilities.
• Hold a current Australian driver's licence.
• Australian visa holder; based in Perth; no sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Plan and supervise RC and diamond drilling programs.
• Geological logging of RC chips and diamond core.
• Conduct geological mapping and structural interpretation.
• Design and supervise geochemical sampling programs.
• Interpret exploration datasets including geology, geochemistry and geophysics.
• Generate and rank exploration targets.
• Manage drilling contractors and field crews.
• Ensure exploration activities are completed safely and efficiently.
• Maintain QA/QC procedures and geological databases.
• Assist in technical report preparation for management and ASX announcements.
• Plan exploration programs and liaise with heritage consultants and regulators.

Job description

My client is seeking a Project Exploration Geologist with 8 plus years Exploration experience, to work on a highly prospective project, the position is campaign based with regular trips to the field in the Pilbara region.

The company will be actively drilling over the next couple of years after successfully doing a capital raise, with a clear focus focus on doubling their current resource.

You will be involved in target generation, drilling programs, field mapping, geological interpretation and project management. The role provides genuine responsibility and the opportunity to influence exploration strategy while working alongside experienced exploration professionals.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and supervise RC and diamond drilling programs.
• Geological logging of RC chips and diamond core.
• Conduct geological mapping and structural interpretation.
• Design and supervise geochemical sampling programs.
• Interpret exploration datasets including geology, geochemistry and geophysics.
• Generate and rank exploration targets.
• Manage drilling contractors and field crews.
• Ensure exploration activities are completed safely and efficiently.
• Maintain high-quality geological databases and QA/QC procedures.
• Assist in the preparation of technical reports for management and ASX announcements.
• planning exploration programs.

• Approximately > 8 years' mineral exploration experience.
• Strong understanding of Archean gold systems.

• Experience with Leapfrog Geo, micromine or similar 3D modelling software.
• Strong technical writing.
