Job summary

Genesis Minerals Limited in Western Australia is seeking a Mine Geologist to lead geological mapping, wireframing and grade control for open pit operations. You will work under the Senior Mine Geologist, producing sections, plans, and mineable shapes while coordinating with engineers and contractors to optimise extraction and minimise dilution.

The role emphasizes data integrity, resource classification, RC drilling programs, and mentoring geology technicians.

Qualifications

Qualification in Geology.
Experience in open pit gold mining.
Driver’s license (C Class).

Responsibilities

Produce geological sections, plans and long sections with interpreted mapping.
Develop and maintain geology and mineralisation wireframes.
Map and document each mining bench, capturing geology, structure and mineralisation.
Generate mineable shapes with minimal dilution and share extraction plans with engineers.
Supervise mark-outs, ore extraction and ore movements to maximise recovery.
Ensure timely data entry and reconciliation of ore movements for reports.
Identify inferred/indicated/measured resources to meet mine needs.
Log RC grade control holes to a high standard and on time.
Design, set out and implement RC drill programs to define lodes.
Mentor and support geology technicians.
