Job summary

North West Queensland is hiring a general labourer to support the Councils Engineering Department's Roads Construction and Maintenance teams in Queensland. You will work on a range of projects, performing road works, general labouring, and depot tasks as required, while maintaining safety and compliance.

The role requires experience in civil road works or general labouring, a current C class driver's licence, and a reliable, team-focused attitude.

Qualifications

• Experience in civil road works and/or general labouring.
• Road construction or RMPC experience (desirable)
• Current C class driver's licence (essential)
• HR, HC, MC or heavy machinery tickets (desirable)
• Strong work ethic, reliability and ability to work as part of a team

Responsibilities

• Assist with road construction and maintenance works
• General labouring duties across Council works
• Operation of plant and equipment (where licenced)
• Support depot and works operations as required
• Maintain a safe and compliant work environment
