Mantel, an Australian-owned technology consulting business, is seeking a Lead Front-End Engineer to work across multiple tech stacks and platforms, with opportunities to upskill and cross skill.

You will lead a collaborative team, implement CI/CD, advise on AI-assisted development tools, and mentor engineers while delivering high-quality, scalable front-end solutions for major Australian brands.

Qualifications

• Proven experience with Jest and Cypress for front-end testing.
• Strong technical leadership and team direction.
• Experience with greenfield and existing apps.
• Experience architecting AI-assisted development workflows.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and code quality practices.
• Knowledge of Gulp/Webpack and Git workflows.

Responsibilities

• Lead frontend engineering efforts across multiple stacks and platforms.
• Drive agile practices, code reviews, and knowledge sharing.
• Mentor engineers on AI-human collaboration and tooling adoption.
• Ensure high-quality, maintainable code with CI/CD alignment.
• Design scalable front-end architectures and production-ready systems.
