Job summary

Ausgrid is seeking an Engineering Officer/Engineer to support planned maintenance across primary and secondary systems within our distribution and sub-transmission network. Based in Sydney’s Southern/Eastern areas, you’ll collaborate with maintenance, capital and operational teams to plan, coordinate activities, reduce risk, and uphold safety, reliability and performance of the network.

Qualifications

• Engineering Diploma or Engineering Degree (or equivalent) with Engineers Australia membership entitlement.
• Experience in engineering/technical/asset management within the electricity distribution sector or related field.
• Knowledge of relevant standards, procedures, regulations, safety practices.
• Experience preparing high-quality technical and project documentation.
• Strong problem-solving abilities with risk assessment and practical solutions.
• Proficient computer literacy; able to use systems to plan, coordinate and manage work.
• Current Class C Driver Licence.

Responsibilities

• Manage asset maintenance tasks and associated work orders.
• Oversee asset corrective/defect tasks and replacement projects.
• Conduct desktop assessments, site visits and stakeholder consultations for safe planning and delivery.
• Review tasks to assign risk ratings, isolations and permits.
• Use SAP to manage asset records, notifications and work orders.
• Use Works Management System (WMS) for scheduling and planning.
• Produce NARs, job packs, resource requests and NECF outage notifications.
• Build and maintain relations with internal and external stakeholders.
• Support safe, reliable operation of Ausgrid's network.
