Job summary

Ausgrid is seeking a Distribution Lineworker to deliver safe, reliable and affordable electricity network services across Sydney and regions. You will inspect, install and maintain overhead assets, prepare sites, liaise with stakeholders, and support emergency restoration while ensuring work is planned accurately and executed safely.

Applicants should hold the Cert III in ESI Power Systems (or equivalent) and possess electrical trade experience, HRWLs, and robust safety knowledge.

Qualifications

• Qualified Line Worker – Cert III in ESI Power Systems (or equivalent).
• Experience in electrical trade role within electricity distribution including line work.
• MR driver's licence.
• Electrical Safety Rules accreditation and other statutory training.
• Sound knowledge of relevant statutes, regulations and safe working practices such as network standards and codes of practice.
• High Risk Work Licences (HRWL) – multiple such as Elevated Work Platform and Dogging.
• WH&S WorkCover – General Induction.
• Asbestos awareness and experience working safely with asbestos materials related to line work.
• Demonstrated experience in the application of safe manual handling techniques.
• Basic skills in the use of computers and mobile devices; demonstrated communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, install and maintain overhead network infrastructure and electrical equipment.
• Prepare work sites and liaise with internal and external stakeholders.
• Resolve customer issues and interpret technical documentation.
• Play a key role in emergency restoration work and ensure the job is planned well and done right, every time.
