Job summary

John Paul College in Queensland seeks an experienced Events Manager to lead planning, coordination and delivery of the College's events program. You will shape the annual calendar, manage the Events Assistant and collaborate with stakeholders across the College to deliver professional, well-coordinated events that reflect the College's standards.

You’ll bring extensive event and project management experience, tertiary qualifications in Events or Project Management, and strong budget and supplier

Qualifications

• Significant experience in event and project management.
• Ability to lead multi-stakeholder events and teams.
• Strong financial acumen and supplier negotiation.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end planning, management and delivery of major internal and external College events.
• Develop and maintain the annual events plan and calendar with key stakeholders.
• Create detailed event plans, run sheets, and operational requirements (venue, AV, catering, security, registrations).
• Act as liaison for Parents of JPC events and build volunteer relationships.
• Manage event budgets and cost recovery; source and negotiate with suppliers/contractors.
• Lead risk and compliance requirements including risk assessments and emergency arrangements.
• Coach and support the Events Assistant and foster a service-focused culture.
• Conduct post-event reviews and maintain event management documentation.
