Job summary

Hancock Iron Ore is seeking a Specialist Engineering Projects to join the Sustaining Capital team on a Monday-Friday roster based at Perth with regular site travel for a 12-month contracting opportunity.

Reporting to the Superintendent Projects Port & Rail, you will lead delivery of key sustaining capital projects across the Mine, Process Plant, Port and Rail, ensuring detailed design and safe execution to handover.

Qualifications

Experience in consulting engineering mineral projects, with a preference for brownfield work.
Knowledge of site construction leadership and execution.
Experience with condition monitoring is advantageous.

Responsibilities

Develop and finalise scopes of work for assigned packages with stakeholders, ensuring quality, cost and schedule alignment.
Oversee approximately 2,500 installation locations with focus on efficiency and coordination.
Assist with identifying sustaining capital project pipelines and estimating total costs for planning.
Assist with initiating projects within the plan.
Direct and lead consultants, contractors and suppliers to deliver solutions and achieve project deliverables.
Manage installation and construction works to maintain delivery standards.
Interface with Hancock Iron Ore to align scope and develop project execution plans.
Ensure drawings and as-constructed information are registered and available.
Prepare management reports detailing progress, commercial status and cost estimates.
