Job summary

Hancock Iron Ore seeks a Processing Services Supervisor for Roy Hill mine on an 8 days on / 6 days off FIFO roster from Perth. The role oversees ramp down/up activities, safety, and contractor management within processing operations and aligns with maintenance and engineering teams.

Applicants should have strong planning skills, fixed plant experience, and knowledge of CMMS systems; Schedule 26 certification is preferred or willingness to obtain it.

Qualifications

• Experience in fixed plant processing roles and shutdowns.
• Strong technical operations and planning skills, including project plan formulation and execution.
• Ability to lead structured problem solving, navigate ambiguity, and support decision-making.
• Effective communication across verbal, written, and electronic formats; able to present and influence.
• Safety-critical risk improvement mindset.
• Experience with SAP or similar Maintenance CMMS.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, Project, PowerPoint).
• Schedule 26 certification or willingness to obtain it.

Responsibilities

• Create, implement and coordinate ramp down and ramp up schedules with production, maintenance and commissioning.
• Communicate operational changes to stakeholders and workgroups.
• Maintain safety, environmental, and quality controls during transitions.
• Monitor and report progress against ramp milestones.
• Facilitate updates and progress meetings for shutdown readiness.
• Coordinate with maintenance, engineering and operations to resolve ramp issues.
• Manage contractors involved in ramp down activities and daily operations.
