Job summary

Greatland is seeking an experienced Senior Project Engineer for the Telfer site to ensure the safe delivery of sustaining capital projects with a focus on electrical and instrumentation works. The role is full-time on a 12-month fixed-term contract, operating on an 8/6 FIFO roster from Perth.

You will manage scopes, budgets, schedules, and stakeholder engagement from concept through commissioning, leading site personnel and contractors to uphold Australian standards and internal procedures.

Qualifications

• Experience in brownfields project delivery within mining or heavy industry.
• Strong understanding of Australian Standards (civil, structural, mechanical, electrical).
• Proven contractor and contract management experience.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
• Competency with Microsoft suite.

Responsibilities

• Lead the delivery of sustaining capital projects from initiation to completion.
• Ensure safety compliance and statutory obligations under the WA Mines Act, including oversight of contractor work areas and adherence to critical controls.
• Develop and manage scopes, budgets, and schedules, ensuring monthly capital forecasts are current and accurate.
• Engage and communicate effectively with stakeholders to clarify objectives and drive alignment throughout the project lifecycle.
• Manage contracts and contractors in line with Greatland standards and best practices.
• Conduct audits, field safety checks and incident investigations to continuously improve safety culture.
• Ensure compliance with Greatland standards, Telfer site procedures, and relevant Australian Standards.
• Collaborate and mentor site personnel and junior engineers, fostering a culture of excellence and accountability.
