Job summary

TAL is seeking a Lead Engineer to provide technical leadership within a high-performing Technology Delivery team. You will drive the development and support of Group, Investment and Retirement products on the Acurity platform, ensuring high-quality engineering aligned to business goals.

The role requires strong leadership, agile collaboration, and the ability to rapidly develop expertise across complex systems while championing engineering standards in a continuous delivery environment.

Qualifications

IT qualification required.
10+ years as a software developer experience.
5+ years development with Acurity.
In-depth knowledge of Superannuation, Investment and Retirement products.
Ability to facilitate meetings and drive commitment.

Responsibilities

Provide input and thought leadership into the systems technology roadmap for the platform.
Provide technical direction to the Pod to deliver technology products that enable business outcomes.
Identify and articulate risks and issues; mitigate risks and reduce technical debt.
Configure and code changes and interfaces for the Acurity systems and train others.
Perform, design, code and test reviews and embed built-in quality practices.
