Job summary

TAL Australia invites applications for a Lead Engineer to provide technical leadership in a high-performing Technology Delivery team. You will guide the development and support of Group, Investment and Retirement products on the Acurity platform, champion engineering standards, and drive continuous improvement across delivery teams.

The role requires strong technical leadership, rapid expertise across complex systems, and a proactive, agile approach.

Qualifications

IT or a related field qualification.
10+ years as a software developer.
5+ years development with Acurity.
In-depth industry knowledge of Superannuation, Investment and Retirement products.
Agile environment experience.
Iteration Management experience.
Ability to effectively facilitate meetings to obtain commitment & resolve issues.
Experience providing thought leadership.

Responsibilities

Provide input and thought leadership into the platform's technology roadmap and quality standards.
Provide technical direction to the Pod to deliver technology products within the timeframe.
Identify and articulate business and technical risks and mitigate them.
Configure and code changes and interfaces for the Acurity systems, training others.
Perform design, code and test reviews and embed built-in quality practices.
Part of time spent on sprint tasks and software development.
