Job summary

Built is seeking an Engineering and Automation Manager to lead the core factory engineering capability for AMF operations and to establish the technical backbone of a scalable DfMA manufacturing environment in Australia.

You will steer automation and production engineering, champion commissioning and optimisation of equipment, and drive standards to ensure repeatable, high-quality production across the ramp of the AMF factory setup.

Responsibilities

• Lead manufacturing engineering strategy for the AMF factory environment.
• Define automation strategy and practical implementation priorities for factory operations.
• Coordinate factory equipment and systems requirements across production, engineering and digital workflows.
• Lead production engineering inputs needed to make product designs manufacturable at scale.
• Support commissioning and optimisation of equipment, factory processes and production systems.
• Define manufacturing standards and quality expectations for repeatable production.
• Work with design, factory, digitalisation and product platform teams to ensure engineering decisions support DfMA delivery. Identify opportunities to improve throughput, reliability, safety, quality and repeatability.
