Job summary

Marand Precision Engineering in Moorabbin VIC is seeking an experienced Manufacturing Engineer to lead production-facing activities from engineering through to delivery. You will plan work, coordinate resources and develop manufacturing documentation while supporting the team to bring complex aerospace and advanced projects to completion.

Qualifications

• Degree in Manufacturing Engineering or Mechanical Engineering with hands-on factory experience.
• Minimum 2 years' experience as a Manufacturing Engineer in a manufacturing environment.
• Solid understanding of manufacturing processes and production environments.
• Experience with welding and/or machining is advantageous.
• Ability to translate engineering requirements into practical manufacturing processes.
• Strong organisational skills and ability to manage schedules and documentation.
• Comfortable on the factory floor and working with production teams.

We’re looking for an experienced Manufacturing Engineer to join our team and play a key role in delivering complex aerospace and advanced manufacturing projects.

This is a hands‑on role for a Manufacturing Engineer who understands what it takes to take a product from engineering through to production — planning the work, coordinating resources, developing manufacturing documentation and supporting the team through to successful delivery.

You’ll work closely with Engineering, Production, Quality and Operations to ensure manufacturing processes are safe, efficient, practical and compliant.

You’ll have the opportunity to work on complex, high-value engineering projects where your work has a direct impact on how products are manufactured and delivered. This is a role where you can see your engineering decisions move from drawing to factory floor to finished product.

What you’ll be doing:

What we’re looking for:

• Degree qualified in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum 2 years' solid experience working as a Manufacturing Engineer within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and production environments.
• Experience with welding and/or machining will be highly regarded.
• Ability to interpret engineering requirements and translate them into practical manufacturing processes.
• Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage schedules, documentation and competing priorities.
• Someone who is comfortable being on the factory floor and working directly with production teams.

Experience in aerospace, defence or advanced manufacturing is advantageous, but we’ll also consider Manufacturing Engineers from automotive, heavy engineering, mining, medical or other complex manufacturing environments.
