Job summary

Airswift is seeking a Lead Electrical Engineer to support and lead sustaining capital projects in mining and utilities from Perth, with limited site travel. You will provide technical leadership, manage deliverables and mentor junior engineers, ensuring safety, quality and client satisfaction.

The contract is casual for 12 months. Responsibilities include design across all phases, calculations reviews, and coordination with mechanical, civil and structural teams, while supporting budgeting,

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering required.
10+ years of relevant experience preferred, in engineering consultancy.
Experience leading electrical design on medium to large-scale projects.

Responsibilities

Lead electrical design across all project phases from concept through construction support.
Prepare and review electrical design calculations, drawings, specs, and reports.
Ensure compliance with codes, standards and project requirements.
Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams including mechanical, civil, and structural engineers.
Act as primary electrical contact for clients, contractors and stakeholders.
Support project management activities including budgeting and scheduling.
Conduct site visits, inspections, and commissioning support as needed.
Provide mentorship to junior engineers and designers.
Participate in proposals, project planning, and business development.
Maintain focus on quality assurance, risk management and HSE compliance.
