Job summary

Sedgman Pty Limited is seeking a Lead Electrical Engineer to coordinate and direct the electrical design function for mineral processing projects. You will oversee studies, design, and delivery across Australia and globally, ensuring compliance with standards and client expectations.

The role requires a Bachelor of Engineering (Electrical), P.Eng accreditation as applicable, and a minimum of 10 years’ experience in engineering design or operations, with strong leadership and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years’ experience in engineering design, consultancy or operations.
• Proven experience on mineral processing projects.
• Strong technical design capability and ability to lead and review engineering work.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership and deliver high-quality electrical engineering solutions that meet client requirements and standards.
• Drive continuous improvement and innovation in electrical design systems and practices.
• Collaborate with clients and project teams to resolve technical challenges and ensure project delivery.
• Manage budgets, resources, schedules, and workloads to meet quality, cost, and delivery targets.
• Lead and review electrical design activities, including studies and design documentation.
• Support tendering, estimating and project execution with technical guidance.
• Conduct design reviews for compliance with standards and Sedgman requirements.
• Contribute to quality management and process improvements.
