Job summary

PARC Engineering is expanding and seeks an experienced Lead Electrical Project Engineer to join our Applecross head office. You will own engineering delivery from concept to handover, provide technical leadership and ensure safety, schedule, and budget adherence across multi-disciplinary projects in construction and resources.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or above in Electrical Engineering.
  • 5+ years relevant industry experience in mining, construction or industrial sectors.
  • Excellent knowledge of Australian and international engineering standards.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proven ability to deliver projects within budget and schedule.
  • Effective client interfacing and stakeholder management.
  • Willingness to travel to project sites.
  • Commitment to safety and WHS compliance.

Responsibilities

  • Manage all phases of the project lifecycle, including engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning and handover.
  • Ensure projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
  • Provide technical leadership and engineering guidance to project teams throughout project delivery.
  • Review electrical designs, drawings, technical specifications and engineering deliverables.
  • Develop and manage project schedules, budgets, forecasts, cost reports and progress reporting.
  • Oversee procurement activities, including preparation of technical requisitions, bid evaluations, vendor management and equipment selection.
  • Identify project risks and opportunities, implementing effective mitigation strategies to achieve project objectives.
  • Support pre‑commissioning, commissioning, testing and final handover activities.
  • Conduct site inspections, quality audits and progress reviews to ensure works are completed in accordance with project requirements.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, contractors, suppliers and internal stakeholders.
  • Drive a strong safety culture by ensuring all activities align with WHS legislation and company HSEQ requirements.
  • Prepare and present project reports, technical documentation, and project updates to senior management and clients.
  • Travel to project sites as required to support project mobilisation, construction, commissioning, shutdowns and critical project milestones.
  • Contribute to business improvement initiatives, tender submissions, project planning and continuous improvement across the Projects team.

PARC Engineering is growing, and we’re looking for an experienced Lead Electrical Project Engineer to join our Applecross Head Office and play a key role in delivering high-quality electrical and multidisciplinary projects across the construction and resources sectors.

In this role you’ll take ownership of the engineering and technical delivery of projects from concept through to construction, commissioning and handover. You’ll provide the technical leadership and practical problem-solving needed to deliver projects that are safe, efficient, technically robust and commercially successful.

Role requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree or above in Electrical Engineering
  • 5+ years relevant industry experience in an Engineering role within the mining, construction or industrial industries
  • Excellent knowledge of relevant Australian and international engineering standards
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Previous experience interfacing with clients and strong stakeholder management skills
  • Proven project management skills and demonstrated ability to deliver work within agreed budget, timeframe and client requirements
