Job summary

Evolving Minds Early Learning in Wooloowin, QLD is seeking a Lead Educator to lead the development and delivery of a high-quality EYLF-based program, build strong relationships with children and families, and mentor room-based staff. You will ensure wellbeing and progress documentation in a collaborative team setting.

You will ensure compliance with NQS and Education and Care Laws, promote safety and inclusion, and support ongoing professional development.

Qualifications

• AQF Diploma or higher in Early Childhood Education and Care.
• Blue Card (Working with Children Check) current.
• First Aid, CPR, Asthma and Anaphylaxis certifications current.
• ACECQA approved Child Protection Training completed.
• Strong interpersonal and teamwork abilities.
• Passion for safeguarding children and ongoing professional development.

Responsibilities

About the Role

We are currently seeking a passionate and dedicated Lead Educator to join our team. In this role, you will:

Build positive, respectful relationships with children, families, and colleagues.

Lead the development, implementation, and evaluation of a high-quality educational program using theEarly Years Learning Framework (EYLF).

Monitor and document the individual learning progress of children.

Supervising the daily activities of children

Guide, mentor, and supervise room-based staff, including Assistant Educators, students, and volunteers.

Act as the primary point of contact for families regarding their child's progress and daily routines.

Ensure the room operates in accordance with theNational Quality Standards (NQS)and allEducation and Care Services National Laws and Regulations.

Promote and model safe, inclusive, and engaging practices that uphold the rights and dignity of every child.

Managing children's behaviour and guiding children's social development

Work collaboratively within a supportive team and maintain professionalism in line with our Code of Conduct.

About you

A relevant qualification in Early Childhood Education and Care – at a level of AQF Diploma or above. Or alternatively, at least three years of relevant work experience.

A current Blue Card (Working with Children Check).

Current First Aid, CPR, Asthma, and Anaphylaxis certifications.

Relevant ACECQA approved Child Protection Training.

Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills.

A genuine passion for safeguarding children and supporting their learning and development.

Commitment to on-going learning and development as a professional under the Code of Ethics

Fit to work with children and perform manual tasks, including lifting children and other equipment using recognised safe lifting techniques, bending, twisting and getting down to child's level, sweeping, mopping, vacuuming and other cleaning tasks, gardening, and extended periods of standing and sitting.
