Job summary

Singleton ELC invites experienced educators to join a supportive team shaping early childhood education for children. You will build strong relationships with children, families and the local community while delivering engaging, developmentally appropriate programs.

This role requires Diploma/Cert III or ECT credentials, current First Aid/CPR, WWCC, and a passion for shaping young minds within a collaborative centre environment.

Qualifications

• Diploma, Cert III or ECT qualification required.
• Strong knowledge of EYLF and NQS.
• Current First Aid and CPR certification.
• WWCC or equivalent clearance required.

Responsibilities

• Build strong relationships with children and families.
• Apply pedagogical knowledge to meet individual needs.
• Observe, document, interpret and evaluate children’s progress.
• Stay informed about current regulations and EYLF implementation.
• Plan and program outstanding educational experiences.
• Ensure safe, clean and compliant learning environments.
• Collaborate with staff to plan curriculum and activities.
• Foster positive relationships with families and staff.
• Maintain accurate documentation and records.

As an Educator your role will entail:

• Building strong relationships with the children and their families
• Applying your pedagogical knowledge and expertise to ensure the individual needs of all children are met
• Assisting with observing, documenting, interpreting and evaluating the children's progress
• Keeping informed about the NQF, NQS and the current National Regulations plus current thinking, research and practice while implementing the EYLF
• Assisting with the planning and programming of an outstanding educational program for our children
• Complying with the relevant government regulations
• Meet and exceed the individual needs of each child in all areas of their development
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Create a supportive, stimulating and secure learning environment for the children.
• Create a warm, welcoming, and secure environment for children
• Develop and implement age-appropriate educational programs and activities
• Observe and monitor children's growth, behavior, and development
• Collaborate with colleagues to plan and evaluate curriculum
• Foster positive relationships with children, families, and staff
• Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and policies
• Maintain accurate documentation and records

Skills and experience you will need:

• Diploma, Cert III or ECT Qualification
• Passion for Early Childhood Education and Care
• Skills to lead other educators, motivating them to excel as you deliver care and educational programs
• A strong understanding of the EYLF and NQS
• Current First Aid and CPR Training
• Child Protection Certificate
• Hold a current Working with Children Check
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
