Job summary

Journey Early Learning Riverhills is seeking a Diploma-qualified Lead Educator for the Kinder Room (3–5 years). You will lead a team, mentor staff and collaborate with the ECT to deliver engaging, play-based learning aligned with EYLF.

The role is permanent part-time (37.5 hours per week), with a supportive leadership team and opportunities for professional development. Experience in a childcare setting is essential.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Early Childhood Education recognised by ACECQA.
• Experience as Lead Educator or stepping into leadership.
• Experience with preschool/kindergarten children.
• Strong understanding of child development and play-based learning.
• Collaborative leadership style and relationship-building.
• Current First Aid, Asthma & Anaphylaxis certs and Child Safety training.
• Storypark experience is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support educators within the Kinder Room.
• Work with the Early Childhood Teacher to deliver the kindergarten program.

Journey Early Learning Riverhills is looking for an experienced Diploma-qualified Lead Educator to join our Kinder Room, supporting children aged 3–5 years.

Working closely alongside our Early Childhood Teacher and a collaborative team of educators, you’ll play an important role in creating engaging learning experiences that support children’s development, confidence and readiness for their next stage of learning.

This is a great opportunity for an educator who enjoys leading by example, mentoring others and working as part of a team to create a positive and engaging Kinder environment.

Permanent Part-time | Monday to Friday | 37.5 hours per week

What You’ll Be Doing

• Leading and supporting educators within the Kinder Room
• Working closely alongside the ECT to support the delivery of the kindergarten program
• Creating engaging, play-based learning experiences aligned with the EYLF
• Supporting children’s learning, development, wellbeing and growing independence
• Building meaningful relationships with children and families
• Mentoring educators and contributing to a positive, collaborative team culture

About You

You’re a confident and nurturing educator who enjoys working with children aged 3–5 and understands the importance of creating meaningful learning experiences during these important early years.

You’ll bring:

• An ACECQA-recognised Diploma in Early Childhood Education
• Experience as a Lead Educator, or confidence stepping into leadership
• Experience working with preschool or kindergarten-aged children
• Strong understanding of child development and play-based learning
• A positive, calm and collaborative leadership style
• Confidence building strong relationships with children, families and your team
• Current First Aid, Asthma & Anaphylaxis certificates
• Completed National Child Safety Training
• Storypark experience is desirable
