Job summary

Dyno Nobel is seeking a Technical Engineer in Brisbane to deliver technical blasting support across key customer sites in the Bowen Basin. The role offers autonomy and ownership to deliver innovative blasting solutions that improve performance and outcomes.

You will lead technical projects, blasting trials and continuous improvement initiatives, working with site-based teams and customers, with travel across sites as required.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualifications in Mining Engineering or related field, or 10+ years experience in drill & blast.
• Experience in coal operations with strong problem‑solving skills.
• Ability to travel across sites as required.
• Clear written and verbal communication with site stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical drill and blast support for a key customer operation.
• Lead blasting trials and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Deliver training and technical input for blast designs.
• Coordinate and manage multiple projects across sites.
• Build relationships with customer technical teams and stakeholders.
• Plan, evaluate and optimize blasting trials and projects.
