Job summary

Sutherland Shire Council in New South Wales seeks a Team Leader - Development Services to supervise a team of assessment planners and specialists, ensuring timely and accurate evaluation of development proposals and superior customer service.

You will provide expert advice to stakeholders, mentor staff, and drive continuous process improvement within the development assessment framework while upholding safety and compliance.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualifications in Urban Planning or related field.
• Class C Drivers Licence and General Construction Induction Card (NSW) required.
• Extensive experience in development assessment, especially for complex matters.
• Strong negotiation, written and verbal communication, and stakeholder engagement.
• Proven ability to mentor staff and drive process improvements.
