Job summary

ROUSSOS Recruitment partners with an established Adelaide residential builder to appoint a Lead Designer / Architect who can bring fresh ideas and a considered approach to its custom residential offering.

Based in Adelaide's western suburbs, you will lead client consultations, develop concepts from brief to construction documentation, and collaborate with three interior designers and the broader construction team to deliver cohesive, thoughtfully designed homes.

Qualifications

• At least five years' experience in architectural or building design, ideally within bespoke residential projects.
• Experience managing the design process from initial brief through to developed concepts.
• Strong client communication and presentation skills.
• Understanding of residential construction, site constraints, budgets and buildability.
• Proficiency in ArchiCAD; Enscape experience advantageous.
• Architectural registration would be welcomed but not essential.
• Collaborative approach and enthusiasm for considered residential design.

ROUSSOS Recruitment is partnering with an established Adelaide residential builder to appoint a Lead Designer / Architect who can bring fresh ideas, design expertise and a considered approach to its custom residential offering.

With a focus on individually designed homes rather than standardised solutions, the business works closely with clients to create residences that reflect their lifestyle, priorities, and aspirations.

This newly created position offers the opportunity to take ownership of the design process, from initial client consultation and site assessment through to concept development and construction documentation.

Working alongside three established Interior Designers and the broader construction team, you will play an important role in delivering cohesive, functional, and thoughtfully designed homes.

About You

You may be an experienced Architect, Building Designer or Senior Residential Designer looking for greater ownership, creative input and client engagement.

Ideally, you will bring:

• At least five years' experience in architectural or building design, ideally within bespoke residential projects.
• Experience managing the design process from initial client brief through to developed concepts.
• Strong client communication and presentation skills, with the confidence to provide design advice.
• A sound understanding of residential construction, site constraints, budgets and buildability.
• Proficiency in ArchiCAD, or the willingness to transition, with Enscape experience advantageous.
• Architectural registration would be welcomed but is not essential.
• A collaborative approach and genuine enthusiasm for considered residential design.
