Job summary

ASX is seeking a Head of Data Platform Engineering & Delivery to own and advance ASX Data Platform capabilities. You will lead a sizable team across engineering, delivery and enablement to deliver data products that provide sustained value across ASX.

You will drive platform governance, establish federated product-team practices, and partner with stakeholders to align data strategy with the broader technology roadmap.

Qualifications

• More than 10 years of experience in senior technology service ownership or delivery within enterprise organisations.
• Proven leadership of large data engineering teams and delivery of data platform solutions.
• Experience delivering data products on a cloud platform in regulated environments.
• Proven ability to manage strategic vendor relationships and executive stakeholders.
• Strong leadership in technology and organisational change with an inclusive style.

Responsibilities

• Own the ASX Data Platform, including maintenance, risk, controls, supplier management and customer service.
• Lead the engineering capability responsible for delivering strategic data platform solutions.
• Define the platform roadmap and oversee delivery to mature capabilities.
• Lead solution design governance and establish federated product-team frameworks for platform use.
• Develop and manage strategic partnerships and supplier arrangements.
• Define and implement the data platform and data product operating model.
• Ensure the team has capability, capacity and career development pathways.
• Build an inclusive, high-performing environment with clear goals and strong leadership.
• Partner with Technology and business leaders to align data strategy with broader technology strategy.
• Establish a scalable data product delivery model with data workload teams.
• Manage budgeting, resource planning and P&L for the Data Platform Engineering & Delivery.
• Develop and embed FinOps capabilities to allocate platform costs.
